About Me

Little Town in the middle of Nowhere, Texas, United States
I'm a mom of 4 boys: Jay who's 30, Jory who is 27, Tim is 25, and B is 23. I also have a daughter, Kristi who is 33. I have a grandson, Little Bit/Elmer, that was born in July 2009. I have a new grandson who was born in September of 2017. We moved from North TX to East TX on the land of our dreams in '09 and I love the peace and quiet. It's so nice to have trees again after 11 years of flat and hot. I enjoy hanging out with my friends. I'm a huge baseball fan. Some might even call me obsessed with the game. ;) My favorite teams are the Rangers and the Red Sox. Being a Red Sox fan makes life interesting as all 4 of my boys are Yankee fans. (Basically, I only started cheering for the Red Sox to give the boys a hard time and then actually became a fan) I'm a happily single (well...divorced) mom.

What a week!

Let me say, I usually can't work.  My Dr. chews my tail out every year when I attempt to do this.  But it's only for a few weeks, it's only a few hours a day, and my kids wouldn't get a darn thing for Christmas if I didn't do it.  So, if it costs me physically in the long run- I'll have to deal with it down the road.  Right?  And the people I meet are GREAT!  Some of them are actually great- and some of them are just great characters.

Yesterday was a typical first day of the fair day.  People who can't pass the drug test - wait till the absolutely last minute to try and clean their systems out or try to find a way to CHEAT.  And they apparently all think we were born yesterday- have never seen ANYONE try to cheat before- and are stupid as a wall with the crap they try to get past us.  My friend I was working with yesterday caught 2 guys with condoms rubber banded to their....ummmm most private places- trying to smuggle someone else's pee in to take the tests.  I'm thinking like- wouldn't that HURT?  ouuuuuuuuch.  We had one carny fail for every upper we test for.  Meth-amphetamines, amphetamines, and cocaine.  His excuse:  "They only gave me a weeks warning that I'd have to drug test".  The sad part- all of those clear your system in 3 days.  So, he's so strung out, he can't quit for 3 days. ( So, he was just going to go hit another state and another fair where they don't drug screen.)  And they don't work if they test positive for that stuff.  I got cussed out yesterday by some young kid mad at me for failing him on his test.  Like I put a gun to his head- made him stick those illegal drugs into his system and then lie to his boss.  Yep- that's me!  Armed and dangerous.  I'm a thinking that my KIDS ride those rides and I'd just not rather have someone strung out on cocaine working the controls.  You know what I mean?  And by all means- they are NOT all like that.  Less than 1% who apply are actually dirty.   Most of them are neat, law-abiding folks who have one of the neatest and hardest jobs.  They get to travel all over the country and see all kinds of things.  I love to travel.

Had to take B with me to work yesterday.  He is sick AGAIN.  We left work yesterday and ran straight to the pediatrician.  The rag weed is out and vicious this year and he goes straight from allergies to sinus infection.  So, he got to be at the fair on opening day.  He saw the parade and the first BMX bike show.  Those 2 things are right by the office.  The rest of the day he spent huddled in his jacket in the office feeling miserable.  But I knew I'd never make it back from where the fair is to the house to where his dr's office is in time.  He's so miserable- he's not playing ball today.

Well, off to clean a weeks worth of mess from this house!  Have a great weekend all.
