About Me

My photo
Little Town in the middle of Nowhere, Texas, United States
I'm a mom of 4 boys: Jay who's 30, Jory who is 27, Tim is 25, and B is 23. I also have a daughter, Kristi who is 33. I have a grandson, Little Bit/Elmer, that was born in July 2009. I have a new grandson who was born in September of 2017. We moved from North TX to East TX on the land of our dreams in '09 and I love the peace and quiet. It's so nice to have trees again after 11 years of flat and hot. I enjoy hanging out with my friends. I'm a huge baseball fan. Some might even call me obsessed with the game. ;) My favorite teams are the Rangers and the Red Sox. Being a Red Sox fan makes life interesting as all 4 of my boys are Yankee fans. (Basically, I only started cheering for the Red Sox to give the boys a hard time and then actually became a fan) I'm a happily single (well...divorced) mom.

the house of nuts

I don't know how people with small kids do it.  I know I did it when my kids were little and I had 5 of them then.  I can't do it now.  Maybe it's that I'm more OCD now than I used to be.  Maybe it's that I'm out of practice.  Maybe it's just that I'm getting slower in my old age.  But trying to keep up with the house with all these kids in and out, seems to be a losing battle.  Hurricane almost has enough for the down payment on his house.  He should have the down payment by next week and be starting the move.  That will help some immensely.  Seriously, he leaves more of a trail behind him than the baby does.  And Elmer doesn't cop an attitude when I ask him to pick up his toys.  Here's the thing, I honestly enjoy spending time with my kids.  And I enjoy my kids differently.  I love to take slow cruises on H's bike.  I love to just talk to him.  I love the fact that he's down here.  What I can't stand is the incessant mess that he leaves behind him.  He's like a little cartoon character leaving a trail.  I'm looking forward to him having something permanent.  Settling down - putting down roots - making a home of his own.  And having it be close to where I am.  I want all my kids close.  I want my grandkids to grow up together.  To know each other like my kids didn't get a chance to know most of their cousins.

Anyhow, the point to all that is that I have discovered that I am not doing well at blogging when all 4 boys are here and the baby.  Even though they're working and going out with friends and, in B's case, going to school - I'm not that talented.  And you would think that with them being mostly all adults that they'd clean up behind themselves?  HA!  No.  They're worse now than they were as children.  That actually amuses me somewhat.  I think because if you were to ask the kids (especially Tara), she always said that they had soooooo many chores.  Of course, if you had ever asked Tara - she thought that having to pick up her dirty clothes was child abuse.  That child was so messy that you could never see her floor thru the clothes.  Reminds me of a funny.  Well, it's funny now.  Tara started smoking when she was young.  My ex gave her her first cigarette when she was like 8.  Now, before y'all go off on me- I worked back then.  I didn't know he was giving her smokes and letting her smoke.  I didn't catch her for the first time till she was about 13 or 14.  Anyhow, I tried everything to get her to quit- broke her smokes and threw them away, searched her room, took away privileges, everything.  (nothing worked btw).  So, to get back on track - I came home one time and she was apparently hiding in her bedroom trying to sneak a smoke.  Mama doesn't smoke.  You know how fast a non-smoker can smell cigarette smoke in a non-smoking house?  Quick!  I went storming down the hallway and Tara, in her infinite wisdom, threw the lit cigarette in her garbage can.  Which of course was plastic and full of papers.  Anyone wanna guess what happened next?  FIRE!  Nope that wasn't noticeable at all.  I tossed the garbage can in the tub and turned the shower on.  I wasn't mad at all.  Nope!  Not me.  I mean don't you expect a 17 year old to break the rules and almost burn the house down?  It's funny now.  Sort of like catching the boys trying to commit suicide slide down a ramp as tall as my shed on a plastic alligator teeter-totter was funny.  Or Hurricane playing "roller coaster" with B and that trip to the ER for 4 staples in his head was funny.  Roller Coaster- put one small brother in a plastic laundry basket and swing it around in circles while making it go up and down to give younger brother a ride.  This only becomes a problem when said plastic laundry basket breaks and the younger brother goes sailing head first across the kitchen.  So there was my funny for the night.

Anywho, I just can't seem to find time for me with them all here this last week.  With Hurricane in the middle of relocating and the baby here - I have been feeling very overwhelmed.  For those of you that have small children- my hat is off to you.  I know I did it when mine were little - but I don't for the life of me remember how.  My life was down to peace and quiet.  Just me and B here (well and Toni) for the most part.  I have no peace and quiet anymore.  It seems like there's always someone here.  Not just my kids but their friends too.  As fast as I clean, they mess up.  As fast as I replace a roll of toilet paper (because don't you know no one else knows how to put the roll on the roller), it's empty again.  If I mop, they track.  I load the dishes, turn around, and there's a sink full again.  And did I mention - I have no me time.  None.  Zip.  Zero.  Zilch.  Well, unless you count sleeping - which I do not.  And even sleep is not sacred.  I get woken up more often than I get to sleep a night thru.  Wish me luck to survive this for the next few months.  Hurricane should be in his place within the next few weeks but then my mom comes and we'll have Elmer that week and then it's hunting season and time for Vix and Cal's trip down for Cal to go hunting.  And then it's the holidays and I'll have them all in and out here for the holidays.  So, it's going to be crazy till after the first of the year.  Just keep me and my sanity (or what may become a lack thereof) in your thoughts, prayers, well-wishes, etc please.  I have a feeling that I'm going to need all the help I can get.

a view from the other side

A friend of mine sent me an email this morning directing me to a couple of sites.  One written by a bio-mom, the other written in response and disputing the posts by a bonus mom.  My friend commented that they were so vastly different that she didn't know which to believe.  Here's the thing- the "truth" is probably somewhere in the middle.  But then I started thinking about how my ex, SD, would write about things like our divorce and what's happened....  Having read his fb posts and emails over the years I thought it would be interesting to write a post from his view point.  One which is vastly different than mine.  In the interest of y'all being able to actually read said post- I'll put his views in actual sentences with capital letters and punctuation and leave out some of the vulgarity that is so prevalent in his writings...

My marriage sucked.  All she cared about was the kids. She never wanted to go to the bar with me and all she ever did was complain about my drinking.  I was gone over-the-road for weeks at a time.  A man has to have a chance to unwind when he comes home from a couple of hard weeks work right?  But nooooo - all she wanted to do was harp on me about spending time with the kids.  Hey, I told her that if she wanted to go out with me to find herself a babysitter.  What else did she want?  So, who's fault was it when I found myself a more understanding woman?  Hers - right?  It sucks that I was having some fun in my truck with my married co-worker when the wife and kids stopped by but hey - that's life right?  I told her that Dawn  was going to leave her husband of the last month and I was going to go home with Dawn instead of her and the kids.  She must not have cared.  She told me that she was going to go ahead with the plans to move to TX with the kids.  Worked for me.  We went down to the attorney's office a few days later and I signed off on the papers for her to take the kids and leave state.  I agreed to pay a ridiculous amount of child support but Dawn soon talked me out of sending so much of our money to her.

Amy moved to TX on August 3rd early in the morning.  By that afternoon, Dawn and her kids were moved in and we were living as one big happy family.  I called Amy a few times for the road but that witch called Dawn and told her that I was calling her and it caused a huge fight between Dawn and I.  I quit doing that - it wasn't worth it.  I kept meaning to call the kids but life was so busy when I'd be home off the road.  Dawn didn't like me to make runs by myself so she came with me a lot.  Dawn did send the kids $15 each and a card for Christmas.  I told her just to go ahead and sign all our names on it.  I didn't think anyone would care since Amy had always signed all the cards to the kids in the past.  I just can't figure out why the kids disliked Dawn so much.  I tried to call the kids a few days after Christmas to see if they got my card and money.  They were nasty and rude!  No respect what-so-ever.  They had no right to treat me that way.  I know I hadn't talked to them since August but I was busy.  It's only been a few months.

Since the kids never called me back after Christmas, Dawn and I filed suit for visitation in June.  Amy is so unreasonable!  She wanted to know where I was going to put the kids and her attorney asked how I would transport them?  There's only 5 of them plus Dawn's 2.  We have a pick-up.  The kids can ride in back.  I really didn't think Amy would show up for court but she did.  She only brought 3 of the kids to town with her and she's totally turned my kids against me.  They keep asking me why I didn't invite them to my wedding and why I haven't called.  I didn't invite them because Amy wouldn't have let them come.  Well, no- I didn't ask her about it.  I don't want to talk to the witch!  Tara was pretty upset that Dawns kids were in the wedding and she wasn't even invited.  I told her to get over it.  It's over and done with now.  Hurricane is more mad that we took a cruise without them.  I wish Dawn wouldn't have told my kids about the cruise!  All it did was get the kids mouthing off.  B is too much of a mama's boy.  All he does it whine.  I took them to the game room, gave him 50 cents and he threw a temper tantrum over not getting more money.  I told him enough was enough and picked him up and whipped his tail.  Amy has obviously spoiled them.  When I whipped that tail, both Tara and Hurricane got disrespectful with me and my wife.  I don't have to take that from those kids.  I told Amy just take them.  I have phone visitation, I'll talk to them later after they've had a chance to calm down.  They were so rude, they didn't even call me before they got back on the plane.

Phone visits didn't go well.  The kids were distracted and didn't talk much.  They were rude and refused to talk to Dawn or my step-kids.  At different times both of the older kids were so disrespectful, I just hung up on them.  After a while, I just quit calling.  Amy finally sent me a letter telling me that the kids weren't going to "wait on my calls anymore".  I don't know what she's making a big deal about.  If I call- I do.  If I don't - it's not like they talked much anyhow.  Things went along quietly for the next few years.  I kept waiting on the kids to call me but by now, Amy has alienated them to the point that they hate me.  I was a great dad.  She's turned my kids against me. I thought they would come looking for me after they turned 18, but all of them but the youngest is 18 now and none of them has come around.  My only contact with them has been via my fb page and they were so disrespectful that I blocked them.  They actually accused me of not caring - of not being there for them.  The 3 older boys were all nasty and told me to quit talking about their mom.  I can't help it she's a b*tch and has turned my kids against me.  If they weren't so brainwashed they'd be able to see the truth.  I ended up blocking them all and telling them that I was done with them.  She's ruined my relationship with my kids.  Amy brainwashed them and turned them against me.  I love my kids though and I'll always love them.

Here are a few of his fb posts to show how he thinks.....

tired of dealing with brain wash ppl,try to talk but u get others button n n dont know shit but what there told,n than lies added, wtf s going on with folks everyone turning into drama queens guess its the life ppl like well final thought let em live it but keep to urselfs, noone wants to b part of it

well if they had a mother with a brain they wouldnt b the way they r

it just sucks for me cause i do love my kids n would love to be part of their lifes but their brain washed from their mother

It really does come down to how you look at it.  He doesn't see his drug charges as a problem.  He doesn't think that not calling for years at a time as having any effect on his relationship with his kids.  He didn't think that the kids catching him in bed with his married co-worker was an issue.  It's all in how you look at it.  Funny how that works isn't it? And when the kids tried to talk to him online about why he didn't call or use his visitation or whatever, he blocked them.  And that's the way it's stood since March.  No word - no attempts at contact.  He crawled back under his rock and forgot that they existed yet again. Well, except when he gets drunk (which is frequently) and then it's more drunken whining about pity poor him.  He just can't figure out why they get upset when he doesn't call more than every 5-7 years.  I can't figure it out either- can you?

home again home again jiggedy jig

Tomorrow I head home.  I cannot wait!  I can't wait to see my monsters.  I can't wait to sleep in my bed.  I can't wait to cook.  Yes, I said I can't wait to cook.  I really can't.  I've only gotten two "home cooked" meals since I've been here.  Hurricane made one of them.  He did hamburgers out on the grill one night.  One other night, Ruth cooked and made a roast.   I want meatloaf or bbq chicken or some spaghetti.  I'd be happy with a frozen pizza right now.  Sad right?  I've been taken out to dinner numerous times by friends.  Its not that I haven't eaten.  But I really would love to have something that comes out of my oven.

Ruth and IC still at her mom's house.  It sure appears that the trip to my house isn't going to happen.  Supposedly the whole reason that I couldn't take Elmer to the fair was that if we took him to the fair - they wouldn't be able to meet up with her mom till this evening which would mean that they couldn't drive home till tomorrow.  So I gave up taking Elmer to the fair so that they could leave last night.  Supposedly if they left last night, they'd come home tonight so that IC could leave with me tomorrow.  HA.  That didn't happen.  Now, the story is that they're going to meet up with me tomorrow before I hit the highway.  Anyone wanna bet that this never happens?  So basically, I got ripped off.  I didn't get to take Elmer to the fair and I'll be surprised if IC gets to come home with me and see his brothers.  How mad will I be?  Probably not.  Why get mad?  Either he's going to cowboy up and stop giving up things that he wants and stop putting her family in front of ours or he won't.  Its his life.  He's the one that has to be happy.  So long as he's happy and doing well - it's not my business.  All I can do is to be here when he needs me.

Fair story of the day:  I had a girl today doing the happy dance in line.  She "had to go"!  Right then.  So by the time we got to the bathroom, she went to pull her pants down and squat and I heard this good large pop and urine went EVERYWHERE.  I mean on the toilet, the floor, down her pants and even all over the wall.  She said " I had been holding it for so long I really had to go."  I was biting my tongue and cheek trying not to crack up laughing in her face.  I knew what had happened.  She had had a balloon or condom with someone else' urine in it and it had broken all over her.  Can you say.... KARMA?  Oh and BTW... She failed.  She admitted to Teri (the lady that owns the company) what had happened.  No pride ethics sense of self worth sense in that girl was there?

Teri had a good one late this afternoon too.  He gave her a cold specimen.  For those of you who might not know what this means - it means it wasn't his urine.  There are temperature strips on the cups.  The strips turn blue/green someplace between 90-100 degrees.  No color on the temp strip = specimen not body temperature = someone trying to cheat (or a corpse walking around trying to get a job).  When Teri told him that she couldn't take his specimen, he pulled a wad of cash out of his pocket with a $100 bill on top and asked her if she couldn't .... "change her mind".  Ummmmm - no.  Not a chance.   Like Teri said- big wad of cash probably equals drug dealer looking for a free pass into the fair to deal more drugs.  That would be a bad deal.

So, I'm looking forward to heading home.  Homecoming is tomorrow night.  I'll be back in time to watch my extras boys play football. I'm looking forward to visiting with Carol.  Giving Carol, B and Colby their shirts (I'll take pictures of the shirts after I get them).  I look forward to seeing all the kids who will be coming up to me and giving me hugs.  I've so missed getting hugs.

Hurricane took care of my car today.  It was running rough.  There was apparently a june bug and a couple of butterflies and some other assorted things in my massively dirty air filter.  He checked all my fluids.  Went and got me a new air filter and put it in and did a few other maintenance type things that really needed done.  He went and did some Christmas shopping with me. And then he put the Rangers game on and watched the last few innings with me. Probably one of the most enjoyable times I've spent with him in I can't tell you how long.  Now we're laying in his room watching one of the stupidest movies I've ever seen.  Well, he and Donna are watching it.  I'm desperately trying to ignore it.  Well, there's a relief.  It's over.  Don't ask me what the name of it was - I really spent the last few hours tuning it out.  It was horrid.  Ok, well off here - it's late.  One more day.  The car is loaded - I'm ready to go.  I'll have to be careful to not speed on the way home.

*keep smiling!*

The shirt

So, as we left off last night, I had my feelings a bit hurt when Hurricane and Donna decided to go with Little Man to crazy Tina's house for a bbq.  Now, I really did understand that they wanted to see the cousin home from the military but said cousin is Little Mans age for one and Hurricane hadn't bothered staying up with him for the last 5 years so why now?  But off they went.  And I invited Nanny and Colby to come have dinner with me and B.

So, Colby got here before Nanny and we were all hanging out and then he said that LM would be here in about 10 min.  Well, I found that really odd because they had told me that they wouldn't be here for dinner.  And no one had told me that they were coming home.  Besides that, LM and cousin had had plans to go to the VFW and shoot pool all week and it was way too early for them to be done with that.

Well, Nanny had just arrived and I was finishing up dinner as we chatted when Hurricane came thru the door and tried to hand me a wet shirt saying "feel this".  I was like "OK".  Totally lost at this point.  So, Hurricane starts rambling off about LM's driving and how he did 95 mph on the way home (from the boy who made a 166 mile drive to get Donna in just over 2 hours the day before).  And it was "f" this and the "little mother f'er" that.  And Donna came in hollering and complaining too in her shrill voice.  Said that his driving had made her "sick".  (I can see that too folks- without a doubt).  I guess he hit the little county road that I fondly call the roller coaster and he drove it like someone that knows the road.  Which means at 60 mph.  Now, when Ice Cube drives that road, he does it at 30-35 mph.  It's really not a bad road when you know it - but for someone who has only been down it a time or two... well, yeah it can be a bit of a nail biter.  And I kept telling him "H, I have company".  His response: "Can I whip his a** mom, can I?"  Absolutely not.  Over and over, I'd tell him - we have company.  And they both continued to mouth as they packed up their stuff telling me that they were leaving to go home.

Where was LM in all this?  Well, he and B and Colby were outside chatting.  He came in, he gave Nanny a hug and he didn't have much else to say.  Hurricane tried to get him to go outside and fight him but LM wouldn't bite into that.  He did mouth back a bit but he mostly just ignored them other than telling them that they could just leave.  And he apologized to Nanny.

Long story short- Hurricane and Donna left in a huff.  Hurricane threatening that LM wouldn't have a car by next week because he'd have Vix and Cal come take it away (Not gonna happen).  Hurricane mad at me because I didn't rant and rave and scream at LM about his driving.  I should have started a big scene in front of the company here.  Not my way to start with.  What I have to say to LM about it all will be said in private - not in front of any type of audience and that includes his brother (s).  Hurricane not talking to me again because I "don't care" (his words) and Donna walked out the door without even saying goodbye to anyone.  LM didn't bring it up other than to say that he didn't have gas or money to go back to do what his plans were and he was highly pi**ed.

So, come to find out that this is what it was all over....  Hurricane played basketball with the boys and got sweaty.  The shirt he asked me to feel?  Drenched with sweat.  So, he wanted to come all the way back to the house (remember 80 miles round trip)... to change shirts.  He offered LM a whole $5 for all this driving.  LM said that no way would $5 cover it.  He ended up losing out on all his plans with his cousin.  So, James took me to brunch today.  Asked me if someone couldn't have loaned Hurricane a shirt?  I thought about it and thought... Yeah- there were 5 guys living at the house that are all his size or a little bigger.  I'm sure someone would have loaned him a shirt.  So, I don't know if the whole "I need to go home to get a dry shirt" was really what happened.  Or did the crazy Aunt Tina say something to upset Hurricane or Donna?  Or was Donna not having a good time and wanted to leave?  The world may never know....

The funny part?  After all that complaining and fussing that Hurricane did about LM's driving?  When Hurricane and Donna went to leave.....

Hurricane backed into a tree.

My night- not ruined.  Nanny and I sat and visited.  We had a good time.  LM, B and Colby - let us visit in peace.  Nanny and I watched a show on TV - visited a bit.  Chatted.  Had a good time.  I did have to call Vix to see if the kids got back ok.  They didn't bother to call (no surprise there).  And I had another productive day today.

I am a ...

Klutz. So, yesterday, I was putting the carpet in the closet of my bedroom. It looks great by the way. Yes, I took pictures. I also cut my fingers open on that canvass type stuff on the back of it and cut myself with the utility knife. So yes, I am a big klutz.

Now, all I have left to do and that part of the house is done is the floor in the bathroom and the trim. It's all coming together nicely. I'm really happy with the way it works. I really wish that I didn't have to do those tests this month at the hospital. If it weren't for those and the wedding I have to go to, I wouldn't go back this month. I'd use the money for new drapes for my room and my new bed set. I ended up getting a new toilet seat for the toilet. I wanted to go to a brown seat to more match the decor. I looked at the wood ones. Now the wood ones would have looked best with the towel bar and stuff. I have the wood floor going in there. I have the wood towel bars and stuff. I have the wood handles on the cabinets. The wood toilet seat would match best. But folks- my tail cringed at the thought of sitting on wood. So, I went nice and puffy. TMI?

Right now, I'm watching the Rangers game. They're in Seattle today playing the Mariners. I'm watching it on the DVR so I'm a bit behind what the real score might be. I should be in there working on the bathroom floor but I'm going to wait and get B to help me tomorrow. Or if I get bored when this is done, maybe I'll play with it a bit then. That floor is pretty small to start with and then it's only part wood so it shouldn't take too long. I am really looking forward to having that all done. B is out with a friend on 4 wheelers. Little Man is at work. He's working hard and I think he likes his new job. Kristi worked 16 hours out of the last 24. Wow huh? She was on a 2-10 yesterday and then went back in this morning at 6. Now she's off with a bunch of friends that she's made. For so long, she wasn't allowed to have friends. She is almost over-doing it now but days like today, I'm enjoying the peace. I have the house mostly to myself. Josh is still here. But he's hanging in the back playing video games or something. I know he took a nap for a while. I don't imagine Kristi will come home tonight. I heard many voices of both male and female persuasion when I spoke with her last. All I can say is good for her. If you'd like the low down on the extremely funny conversation I had Thursday night that was full of contradiction and lies... You can find it HERE.

Well, I'm off here to enjoy my relaxing evening. My team is winning. It doesn't seem that I will have to cook dinner. And I'm going to play catch up with shows on the DVR. Have a good weekend all!

Sunday jokes

So good Sunday afternoon! I've been doing laundry all day today getting ready to take Sir Precious back to his mommy and daddy tomorrow. What a pleasure it's been to have him! And we won't even have a week between meeting up with his mom and dad tomorrow and us going to Old Town this month. I fully intend to sleep all of one of those days away. I say that but what I really want to do is read. I started a book the day that the kids came. I haven't read a single page of that book in a week. Not that I'm complaining about being too active to read.

So, a friend of mine asked me today about my site meter. Well, I hadn't been checking it as regularly as I used to. Now mind you, when Tara came here - I was giving her a world of teasing about how she used to stalk my blog. During all this, she swore up and down that she hadn't been the one doing it. And my response was along the lines of ...yeah yeah. Tell me about it. So sorry but I have the proof that someone from there was visiting my site 5-9 times a day. And I heard: I swear mom it wasn't me. Now, no offense to Tara who I know is going to read this but I didn't believe her. I didn't much care one way or another because I found the whole thing humorous then and now. It was more something to tease with her about than anything else at this point. Especially as I've had to get her permission to post certain things that have come from her email or conversations.

So, when my friend told me today to check out my site meter, I logged into it just for that. Imagine my surprise when I found Tara's old IP addy on my blog for over 1 1/2 hours today. So, it definitely isn't Tara this time. Obviously. So apparently, either Tom or Bonnie have been getting an eyeful today. I would imagine that they're not all too happy with what they've had to read either. And we all know how much I care about that don't we? Yep! Not at all!

If its Bonnie reading, then she'll get the truth of the story instead of her son's pity poor me tales of woe. If it's Tom reading, maybe then, he'll finally get the hint that Tara is done with him and his drinking and lies. Maybe he'll go get the help he so desperately needs. Start paying support and taking care of his kids instead of being the dead beat dad that he's been for as long as I've known him.

Well, Sir Precious or Elmer as Ms Minnie said we should call him goes home tomorrow. I'm gonna meet up with the kids tomorrow and then it will be a whole week before I get to see him again. Well folks... Off here to go do the dishes. Gotta run the baby bottles thru the dishwasher so we have some for tonight. I always try to make sure that all the baby things are done and clean when he goes home. And someone needs a bath here shortly too. More time in the rubber ducky. ;)

email laugh

First off, B is doing ok. He's not great and he's not loving life right now but it's going well. My morning to get him off to school: get the boys up. Then I have to help B get his shirt on over the cast. Find him his advil for the swelling - help him put deodorant on, put his contacts in for him (he can't do it one handed), listen to him complain about the pain all while refusing to take the pain medicine that they prescribed, help him put his shoes on (pants, boxers, socks he can manage). I think if the cast hadn't gone over his elbow, most of this he would be able to handle and I know that as time goes on, he'll get more self sufficient. But, for right now, this is a royal pain. And we can't forget getting toothpaste on the toothbrush and the acne wash that they use morning and night. I also had a meeting today with the school. We have to meet every year anyhow over the boys eye issues and this year, we got to figure out how B was going to manage the next 9 weeks with the cast on his writing hand. I think we got it all figured out. I am sure that if tests are multiple choice or circle the right answer type stuff, than B can manage all that left handed. He apparently took a test in World Geography today where they asked him the questions and he just gave the answers to an aide and he aced it. So, they are most willing to work with us. I also heard from Little Man's physics teacher today that he is not only not behind the rest of the class but some what ahead of them. HA I think this little bit school system thinks that they're ahead of the rest of the world. So, the boys seem to be fairly well on track.

Now, on to the good stuff. I sent the SD an email a few weeks ago to let him know that child support had contacted me and that they were filing under the federal uniform support act to go after him on back support. I sent the same information to his idiot girlfriend.

My email (and you can like or not like my wording on this- I sent it- I'm not ashamed of it):

I emailed SD today. Child support contacted me and they intend to (finally) file under the federal uniform support act.. You may remember that this act makes it a federal felony to "flagrantly refuse to pay support on children living in another state or move states to avoid paying child support". They were so kind as to define flagrantly as "more than 2 years/ more than $5,000. As SD is more than $45, 000 in arrearage, well they have him there. They also have him on the fact that he was legally considered a TX resident with a job when he abandoned the kids and left to go back to Indiana abandoning even his car in fleeing state. Then they have him on the fact that for 5 years now, he's been in Indiana refusing to pay support with even newspaper clippings documenting that he has income (selling drugs) even if it is illegal income. They mentioned that they could pursue jail time as part of this but as I don't receive any support anyhow.... well, like I told them, him being in jail doesn't affect me in any way, shape or form. So, thought you would like to know that they intend to take the support issue to the next level.

Her response made no sense to me then. When I read it again now- it still makes no sense. I don't know if it was the drugs talking or she's just delusional or even where some of this comes from. I did find what pix she was talking about after I went looking to see what pix might be out there after getting this email. I'll have to show some of those too. They're really funny.

Hey shithead,
You have a big problem. It is not illegal to get drunk on your birthday when you are 21 and over. You need to quit getting pictures off of Reece's myspace. You are the one who made SD's kids not like him because of your bullshit lies. He doesn't want you back and NEVER will. So deal with it. We know they will all get older and realize what a liar you are.
I feel sorry for Tara, loser boyfriend is nothing but mean to her and treats her like shit. He is nothing but a thief and a crackhead. But, Tara is NOT SD's daughter and he knows this. I warned him before he went to get her, but he would not listen to me, until she got here and took advantage of him and didn't care what happened, then he realized she was using him, they didn't even have a place to go.
I have nothing to do with you and SD's bullshit, you need to realize this. My CAR is mine, and not SD's. Whoever you are talking to is just trying to make you feel better. But the only time you will feel better is when you or sd is dead.
We know all about SD'S grandson. We have pictures and know the time and everything, we had it before you sent the email. We knew when she was in labor and he was born on the 5th.
You are such a loser. Get over it. Get a job. Get a life.

The part about the car? No idea. The part about wanting SD back? Don't see it mentioned anywhere in my email. The part about "his" grandson. Well, we know who sent that information. They've been cut off. Ice Cube had requested that SD not be given pix of his son. He was not happy but said that when Little Bit asks - if he ever does- he will be told that SD is dead. Not my choice of ways to handle it but not my child. I decided not long ago that I was done getting in the middle of it. I have begged SD over the years to take the time and/or effort to step up and act like a father. He would rather keep ignoring the kids existence and stay on the path he's on. As he goes to court in October on 8 felony charges and will most likely end up in prison- he's about out of time to make it right with the kids. Not. My. Problem. I've spent 10 years trying to make him care. Trying to make him call them or email them or send them cards. I have been totally unsuccessful and have accomplished nothing more than giving myself a headache. The kids are old enough now that they can deal with him or not deal with him as they choose. I'm done.

Well, when this email came in, I wasn't home. I had gone out for the day with one of my friends. I have a mac so I don't shut it down. It stays up and running. Also, I let B use my computer as he has his own profile on it and hasn't gotten his yet. So, my email was up when her response came in. Why the boys chose that day to look at my email is beyond me. They do read the news that come thru my machine occasionally but they don't usually snoop. Or maybe they do. If I have something that I don't want them to see, I put it in a protected folder on my machine. Anyhow, Little Man got her response. He was peeved to say the least. He called me spitting and sputtering and could barely get his words out. He was not a happy camper. And his language was not something acceptable. He informed me that he was going to respond to her. I thought about giving this idea a veto but about at that point, I decided that I was done- they could start voicing their own opinions. I did tell him that foul language was unacceptable and that he should write like he had an education. No gangster slang in other words and no foul language. You can see how much he listened to me.

look here. you're messing with the wrong person. you wanna run your mouth. run it to me. here's my number.xxx.xxx.xxxx feel free to call at anytime if you think you can handle the hell you have coming. thats to both of you. im tired of the crap and you talkin crap to my mother. sd (insert his first name here) isnt a father. never has been. never will be. SD(insert his first name again), think what you want, you're a no good piece of shit. and thats all you'll ever be. an alcoholic and a drug addict. so call me. we can discuss this if you think you can hang and deal with it. unless you're gonna start cryin and hang up on me like you did Hurricane. you're not a man. you cant even handle the truth. so go ahead and call me if you want to. my mom has this email blocked so if you wanna run your mouth about it, call me and man up. and if your whore wants to call, she can too. i'll feel great to shut her nasty mouth up too. thanks. _little man
Some of the pix of SD that got posted online. These are nice pix of him on his birthday so drunk he couldn't stay on his feet. Nice of her to mention that there were pix to be found so that I could get to them though right? Just for the record, this is not at all what he looked like when I was with him. Like, he had teeth back then. Ok folks? Don't think my taste was this bad!

Sears Customer Service and the Sit-Com day....

One of my friends told me that my life reminds her of a Sit-Com.  I always thought it was more of a soap opera but I'll buy Sit-Com.  I wish I was as funny as some of the parents in those 1/2 hour episodes.  Of course, when you look back on it- then some of the stuff is funny but at the time.....  Well, lets just say I'm not always a laughing.   Yesterday being one such day.

Monday, my washing machine broke down.  Ok, it's been about long enough.  If I don't see the washing repair man every other year- I start feeling scared.  I mean, when all 4 boys were at home and playing ball- the dirt build up from baseball pants was enough to put the machine on the fritz every year.  So every couple of years feels lucky about now.  So, I requested to be the first appointment of the day.  They told me absolutely no problem there.  No repair man.  No call.  So I tried to call customer service to see what was going on.  14 calls later I got someone who spoke english.  Seriously.  For some reason, Sears outsourced their call center and for 14 calls, I couldn't get anyone who could pronounce my name right or speak well enough for me to understand them or them understand me.  Now I could understand them not being able to pronounce my name if it were a complicated name- multiple syllables.  But I have a single syllable name - along the lines of Smith- and they didn't just mispronounce it- they massacred it.  It was horrible!  On call 14, I finally got transfered to someone in Alabama.  Thank you!  At this point, I had been trying to find out what was going on for 3 hours.  So then we get the rip-off man that Sears sent out.  Who obviously thought I was stupid.  He wanted (and I kid you not) $12 a MINUTE to fix my machine.  It was a $40 part and he wanted $180 in labor for 15 minutes.  But he's steadily trying to convince me to BUY a new machine from sears.  So, for $200 - I told him just fix the darn thing.  It was a rip-off but I needed my machine.  Well, apparently I agreed to getting it fixed too easily because 3 minutes later he had found something else wrong and doubled the bill.  Well, end of that.  Good-bye to the repair man and I'm afraid I wasn't real nice to him as I shooed him out the door.  Because the chances of me paying $500 to get a $300 machine fixed are zip, zero, none.  Besides that, I'm not stupid.  I know my machine was working other than the door latch that he wanted $12/minute to fix.  Meanwhile, on his way out the door- he's still trying to convince me to buy another machine from sears.  Now, does anyone want to guess what the chances of me spending another penny at sears are at this point?  Right.  So, off to Home Depot I went  where I bought another machine, had Ice Cube and Little Man pick it up and it's on it's 4th load.  And sears.....well, they just lost a 25 year customer.

What helped none of this was that I stayed up too late the night before and in my sleep deprived state.....  and yes you can laugh.....  knocked my blackberry off the counter and it fell into the TOILET.  Yes, my friends, the toilet.  Now, this woke me up quickly but not fast enough to save my poor little crackberry  and I spent the first 15 minutes I was up on the phone to the insurance company getting my phone replaced.   Lucky for me- I pay for the insurance so for a mere $50 deductible- my new phone should arrive today.  Not bad considering that I cracked the screen on my old one last month and was too cheap to replace it.  ;)

And the reason I had to request the Sears man come early- Little Man had to go to court yesterday.  Yes, I had to take my 16 year old to court on a Minor in Possession charge.  Now, you may ask what this is.  This came about when instead of going straight into school one day when his brother dropped him off, he saw a group of his friends and went over to talk.  A teacher driving by said he saw smoke coming out of his mouth.  Well, it was 19 degrees out that morning.  Smoke was coming out of everyones mouth.  So, out of a group of 6 kids (at least 3 of which WERE actually smoking - his brother saw the whole thing) mine was the only one grabbed by the teacher.  The kids actually smoking lit up again as soon as the teacher walked away.  Anyhow, they wrote him a ticket on the spot for minor in "consumption" but when the subpoena came is said minor in "possession".  Well, they searched him on the spot- he was in possession of absolutely NOTHING.  So, we go to court and wait.  They told us to be there at 1:30 so we were there early and of course, the judge was late.  45 minutes late to be exact.  So, when the judge came in he said "is anyone here pleading not guilty" and Little Man raised his hand and out the door we went.  After the judge came in, we were out the door in less than 5 minutes.  UGH.  Of course, now we get to go back again the first week of March but oh well.  It isn't the first minor in possession ticket I've had to fight.  They wrote Ice Cube one once because he had black specks in his teeth.  Teacher said he was dipping.  No dip - no dip cup- possession of nothing but black specks.  What. A. Crock.

The final sit-com moment of my day (and this one really was sit-com funny) was me sitting on the floor behind the new washer trying to hook it up and I couldn't get the cut-offs to turn all the way off on the water hoses.  Well,  I turned the main cut-off to the house off and got the hot to stop dripping and just stuck the cold in the drain pipe.  So, since the hot wouldn't drip if it was held straight up, I hung it on a hook from a hanger about where my washer and dryer go.  So when we got the new washer and I hook up the cold water, water starts pouring out of the hot water hose which is hanging Above. My. Head.  And it's not hot water coming out.  It's cold.  Cold water POURING down all over me.  So, I'm frantically trying to get the water hooked up to the washer so it quits dumping on me and at this point I'm soaking wet and sitting in a puddle of water.  The perfect ending to a perfect day!  (But I did get it hooked up and got 3 loads done last night).

Off here to try to help my girlfriend order Cubs tickets.  It's amazing that she tried last year for 5 hours to get in and I got in and got her tickets in 20 minutes ..... from Texas.  Oh well, such is life.
