About Me

My photo
Little Town in the middle of Nowhere, Texas, United States
I'm a mom of 4 boys: Jay who's 30, Jory who is 27, Tim is 25, and B is 23. I also have a daughter, Kristi who is 33. I have a grandson, Little Bit/Elmer, that was born in July 2009. I have a new grandson who was born in September of 2017. We moved from North TX to East TX on the land of our dreams in '09 and I love the peace and quiet. It's so nice to have trees again after 11 years of flat and hot. I enjoy hanging out with my friends. I'm a huge baseball fan. Some might even call me obsessed with the game. ;) My favorite teams are the Rangers and the Red Sox. Being a Red Sox fan makes life interesting as all 4 of my boys are Yankee fans. (Basically, I only started cheering for the Red Sox to give the boys a hard time and then actually became a fan) I'm a happily single (well...divorced) mom.

Frustration

*if you don't want to read a page of rants - click the little red x now*

A couple of friends of mine told me to make sure that I didn't over-do today. I swore that I would be good. That I wouldn't do too much and hurt myself. And seriously - my intentions were good. I was only going to work on the remodel a little bit. I've been trying to make steady progress on it without putting myself in pain and ruining my chances of accomplishing anything for an unknown amount of time. I didn't mean to lie. Honestly I didn't. But there is more to do than I have hours in the day. And with the AC guys coming tomorrow, I had things that had to be done today.

I try to spend about a week of each month in Old Town with my kids. I can either go twice for a few days each time. Or I can go once and spend several days. I know I just saw the kids and Elmer last week but Easter is this weekend and I really would have liked to see him on the holiday.

I am seriously frustrated with my kids today. They have been absolutely inconsiderate and rude. I do not know how these kids who constantly have their hands out to me to do things for them can sit on their games or lay in their beds while I hurt myself. And not have any care or consideration for me putting myself in pain to the point that my knees feel like they are being burned by a hot torch while someone pounds them with a sledge hammer. I've had to take 2 of my pills already tonight and still can't get it to stop. I told all of them that someone else would have to pop dinner in tonight because I didn't think I could walk in there. Tara is the one that is the maddest at me right now for getting on them but she is the one that went in and made the dinner too.

And when I ask one to do something- this is what I hear. Why can't you tell *so and so* to do it. Or why don't you make *this person* do anything. I'm at the point where I just do it all and then get resentful about the fact that I have to do it all.

And I don't know why today that they have to push my buttons. First off, Little Man brought their cousin, Josh, home to stay the night last night. That's all fine and dandy. But to get Josh to spend the night, he has to go to his Aunt Tina's house. You remember her? One of the crazy ones passing info to my ex? Right... The one that I absolutely about can't stand to hear her name right now after she was so rude where Tara was concerned. Yeah, after I stop talking to her, she starts texting my son. Now, if she had been texting him all along- that would be one thing. But she has never bothered with him before. I'm talking most of the time she ignored him when we were there even. Never a birthday card. She never even bothered to call when he was in the hospital after having surgery. So, I find it a little weird as well as disturbing that this 40 year old woman now texts my 17 year old 20 times a day. I mean, its like she's bored and using him for a sounding board or something. She was texting him about her marital issues a few days ago. Like I said - it just hits me as weird. So, then he has to take Josh back over to her house. And she gives him things to bring to me. I object to that. For one- leave my kid out of it. I don't want to talk to you - stop trying to talk to me. She's nothing to me. She's my ex hubbys either sister or step sister. Explanation - when she was born, she had daddy x listed on her birth certificate. Her mama's first hubby. Then after mama married SD's dad- they changed her birth certificate to have his name. But no DNA test so who knows. They changed her name to dad Z's after dad X passed away. It's just not the best situation and it irritates me. So then when he's over there today, the ambulance came to get her. She couldn't breathe. Now, she (like so very many of us) suffers from panic disorder. That reminds me - I need to refill my prescription. I don't know what actually is going on with her. Little Man ended up staying there to "help out". She has a 19, 18, 17, and 15 year olds there. I don't think they need his "help". I don't know if something is actually the matter with her physically or if she just had the panic attack from hades. I've had one like that before. I had one once that they (and I) thought I was having a heart attack. Chest pains. Trouble breathing. Heart pounding. Pasty white, looked like a ghost. And it turned out to be a bloody panic attack. That was just embarrassing. Now, I sound just absolutely horrid don't I? Because I am not concerned. I'm too miserable tonight.

And the final rant... (or I think so at least). Tom called here at 12:24 AM. That's like after midnight here folks. I'm up early every morning. Now, its not that I'm asleep before midnight because sometimes I am and sometimes I'm not. That depends a lot on my joints. But at no point and time would I ever want to talk to Tom or hear his voice after midnight. I don't like to talk to Tom or hear his voice ever. He still has his head stuck in - in some sort of fantasy, dream, delusion land or something. He wanted he and Tara to stay friends. And not just any type of friends. The "lets have sex" when you're in town type of friends. Can you say - not. Officer Nice told her that she needed to keep an email address open that he could contact her on over the divorce. She has done that and he (of course) uses that email address to play his games. So when she told him in no uncertain terms that she could not stay friends with someone that she didn't trust then he blew up and when from the whiny, pity poor me, you broke my heart and I can't live without you Tom to the cussing, name calling, abusive Tom. Now, he might be a decent guy when he's sober. I, personally, wouldn't know as I've never seen him sober. But the two of them - they're poison together. Awful, horrible, deadly poison. And while she has recognized this fact and has been broadening her horizons and rediscovering herself. He is stuck in some sort of fantasy land where he believes that he was a good husband and someone that anyone could stand to be around. He doesn't quite get that the only thing he was married to was an alcohol bottle. Only a few more weeks and the divorce will be final. Then its bye bye email that he has access to and when her school check comes in- it's bye bye number that he has. Those times can't come soon enough for me as my nerves can't take it anymore. ;)

Oh and the well pump just quit working. So guess what my newest headache is for tomorrow.

Hello? Is anyone still here? Did I scare you all off?

Ok, now that I put all my vents down in writing, I feel better. Does everyone else feel better? I think I'm going to bed since I will be playing with plumbers and AC folks tomorrow. Besides, nothing else can go wrong while I'm sleeping. Can it?

Relief

Today was a day of positives. A day of new beginnings.

I spent yet more time on the phone with the bank and ATT. Little Man had to run thru the bank and sign some papers disputing the charges and working at getting the fees taken care of. They're still there at this point but things are moving in the right direction. The biggest problem is that ATT and the bank are both fighting over who's responsibility it is to get rid of the fees. Personally, I don't care which one of them makes it right- but one of them needs to immediately!

My other liberating experience came via email today. I got an email from Tara disowning me. Now, I realize that as a mom, I should be hurt. I should be upset. I should be something other than relieved. But I'm not. I guess that makes me flawed in some way. But, with that child, its been one thing after another. Things so bad and so horrid that I can't even mention them on here. She's gone from loser man to loser man. Bounced in and out of our lives. Stolen from us. Her current man has stolen from us. (as in we filed a police report theft). She was actually at one time committed to a mental hospital. They only agreed to release her if she would stay in outpatient treatment. That, of course, went out the window when she got with Tom. Tom likes her the way she is. He tells her things like: "The Bible says that he's her master and she is his servant". Tom claims to be a minister. He's one of those ministers. You've heard of them? They get their ministry in prison. Only pay attention to the commandments if its suits them to. Tom regularly ignores the commandment that says "Thou shall not steal". The one about honoring his father and mother is one he likes to ignore when it suits him too. Either that or he figures that putting his dad in the hospital when they both got drunk and Tom beat him up is what the Lord meant by "honor". Doesn't fit my definition but then again, I haven't been to prison either.

I got this from her today as part of her lying email.

I would like to point out that I visited your site for the first time tonight in over a week.

This is part of what cracks me up about habitual liars. They tell so many lies, they can't keep them straight. Does she really think that I don't have proof of her visits? Or that I'm so stupid that I will believe this just because she claims it? Or maybe she thinks that the folks at sitemeter are going to frame her? Tara has been on my blog up to 6 times a day for hours a day every day. Tara emailed Dee a few weeks ago. Well, a comment to Dee's blog. The IP addy shows on those comment approval emails. Its the same IP addy stalking Dee's blog. The same IP addy that has shown up on ESM's blog. The same one I posted a few days ago that is on my blog multiple times a day. Check out the date of what's showing below. This is one of the visits from that particular day....

So, love me still or hate me now. I feel relief. Less drama to deal with. No more getting cussed out for asking a question (from that child at least). No more worrying that Tom will get drunk and attack another of my children with a weapon. No more IM's talking about how sorry she is that she married Tom and how much she's still in love with her ex bf. No more phone calls crying because she caught Tom online looking for women on a dating site (and using a picture that was 3 years and 100 pounds ago). No more calls worrying about Tom out drunk driving or worrying because he beat up his 70 year old dad and the dad was in the hospital and she was worried that the police would be coming to pick Tom up.

For the record... She not only sent the kiss off email and deleted me. She deleted the whole family including Little Bit. Yes, there is the maturity level we're working with here folks. She is going to take things out on a 6 month old baby. How do the boys feel? Well, actually, I won't post Ice Cube's reaction on here. The language folks. Bad. He said he's done with her permanently. That he will never give her another chance. Then he told me I should move back there. And I laughed at him. I told him that as much as I love him, Ruth and Little Bit. I don't want to move closer to that drama fest. I don't know that Hurricane has even been on to know that she deleted him. I don't know that he'll care enough to comment to me about it or not. And even if he does care, he probably wouldn't tell me. He'd be most likely to say something to Donna. So, yes. With the physical health issues I've had in recent years that are stress related, I feel relief to not have Tom in my life anymore. I don't have to feel sick to my stomach trying to have a conversation with Tara and listening to Tom cuss her and me out during the call. And if not having Tara in my life is the price I have to pay for the peace of mind I gain by not having to deal with Tom. Then, for my health, I came out ahead.

If it can go wrong.....

It has. First we were supposed to be in the hotel 2 days - in the house by Monday. But the rain slowed the movers down. And we didn't leave Vix's house till Monday. Then, we were going to be in the house by Weds. But they electrician was an idiot and put the power pole to the house on the wrong side of the property. Enter wonderful neighbors who moved the pole and hooked up the electricity to the house. Enter wonderful electric company who came back the same day to hook the pole up so that we had electricity. So, then it was Friday. But wait- no AC and no water. My plumber came to hook up the plumbing and the company that moved the house had run over the water lines and the septic line- both were destroyed. So, plumber says- no can do. Also, moving company had cut the lines to the house At. The. Tee. So, there was no possible way to hook into the lines to the house. We'll be in the motel now till Sunday. It's Monday. We're at the house. We're not happily at the house but I'll get to that. The plumber followed thru on his word. By noon Sunday, he had hooked up all our plumbing. Another wonderful neighbor who's an AC man came on Saturday and repaired more damage done by the moving company and got the AC up and running. Cause let me tell you folks, 97 degrees in Texas and no heat = no fun!

Why are we not happily in the house? The pump to the well is not working right. I don't know why. It was nothing that my plumber could fix. He fixed the lines. He could fix the pump but that involves him coming back. And honestly, it should be the fool that put it in to fix it. If it's fixable and not that the well is going dry. The water is yellow. I'm not drinking it. I'm not cooking with it. It tastes fine. But it looks funny. Plumber was telling me that we could put a booster and filter on the pump. That would help if the well is still good. I have no idea how to tell if it's the pump that sucks or if it's the well going dry. What I know is that I have no water pressure at all. I can't do a load of laundry without taking buckets of water from the sink to the washer to help the washer fill. Plumber tells me that I need to clean the filters in those water lines. That would be good if moving company hadn't broken the shut off valves to those lines on top of everything else they destroyed. They destroyed my house. Broken drywall, broken trim, broken water lines, they cut the AC line with a hacksaw. 1/2 of my wheelchair ramp, my shed, my steps are still in the old town. The house never got tied down. And Wayne Gilliland, the owner, will not answer his phone. I've given him a week to answer his phone or come out here and make it right and he's done neither. The company is All State Specialty Contracting. And if you ever need work done- do not use them. I know most of my readers are not in TX but just in case anyone surfing the internet happens to search their name - they need to be warned. I will be posting pictures of some of the damage probably tomorrow. I am still taking pictures. Every time I think I've found it all, I find something else ruined. They cut the carpet between my bedroom and bathroom which was expected. What I didn't expect was that they'd put the house back together with the carpet in between the 2 halves. It won't come out. They didn't tie down any of the appliances. The water line to my ice maker is broken. When the water got turned out, we didn't realize the line was broken, it's not like it spewed out or anything. I got up this morning and the freezer door was iced shut. There's about 2 inches of frozen water in the ice tray.

We paid, and have a contract for, the movers bringing the shed and the ramp. He's in breech of contract over those items. As for damages, he has insurance. He can make them right - which apparently he's choosing not to do - or I'll file on his insurance. And it's illegal to leave a house not tied down. So, he's in a real bind over that. Or rather he will be if he doesn't get back here this week and make it all better.

On other notes, the Dr is talking about inducing Ruth on the 13th of next month. If they do an induction than I'll be able to be there when the baby is born and not have to worry about missing it while trying to drive down there.

Both of the younger boys are unhappy. The Hughesnet Satellite internet I got is not working right. On top of that, the 360 live doesn't work with internet satellite. The only other option out here is dial up. I'm not a popular person with B right now as 360 doesn't work with dial up either. So, his 360 live subscription is basically a waste of money. And Little Man just didn't want to leave his friends and all the trouble he was getting into. I really think that they'll like it a lot if they'd just give it a chance. But, they haven't been willing to do that at this point. So, time is what it will take. Time for them to come around. Everyone we've met around here has been really nice! God has blessed us with wonderful neighbors! I think the boys will like the school. And if the kids are as nice as the adults have been then it will be a great experience for them. So, I just need to be patient. Just a little bit of patience is all I need.

Help me find it please folks! I'm running out quickly

it's Sunday

Good morning! We've been staying at Vix and Cal's the last few days while waiting on the house to be moved to the new property. Vix and Cal both actually got up at 11 am yesterday and stayed up all day. That's very unusual for them! Vix usually doesn't roll out until around 2 PM. She was in a great mood last night too. Maybe she's been sleeping too much? Cal played PS3 with B for hours yesterday. They are working on beating some game. Today, I have to go get my mailbox for the new place so when I get down there tomorrow, I can get it set up. I put in a change of address with the post office already but there's no mailbox at the new place yet. I'm not sure what happened to the mailbox from the people that lived there before we bought the place. Probably some kids vandalizing took it out because the post is there- but the box is gone.

My house is still in it's original spot. We had some horrible storms come thru here Weds of last week. Tornado warnings, hail, tons of rain, flying trampolines, 80 mph winds. It's so wet under the house that they were unable to get it out yesterday. They pulled the skirting down and did what they could. Here's hoping that the 98 degree temps yesterday with the wind blowing were enough to dry it out under there. At least enough for them to be able to pull it out. We've been here since Friday when they shut the electric off at the old place. Another problem we've encountered that I get to deal with tomorrow morning is the fact that the electrical transformer at the new place is only set up for 100 whatever service instead of the 220 that you need to run things. So, I have to call some county inspector Monday morning, get him to fax over approval to the co-op electric company for them to upgrade the service so that we can have AC. Because don't you know how fun it will be to be in a house in TX in 100 degree heat with no AC? I think that it will run the AC so long as nothing else is running. Nothing else. But, I'm not sure. They said that they'd get right on doing the upgrade as soon as I could get the permission faxed over. I will be hitting that at 8 AM tomorrow. If I do that then, hopefully they can have it upgraded before I move in on Weds. Moving day has been pushed back one day at this point. I'm hoping that I don't have to push it back again because I have to return the uhaul truck by Weds morning at 10. That doesn't give me much leeway.

We have tickets to go watch the Rangers play the Dodgers today. I don't think we're going to go. I know, that's not like me. But it's a day game. And it starts at 2 PM. And it's going to be 98 degrees out today. And that means that in the sun, it is going to be miserably hot. Horribly, rottenly miserable. And TV is sounding like a really good way to watch the game today. Night games aren't too bad because by about the 2nd inning, the sun sinks down behind the stadium and there's usually a decent breeze and it's not too bad. But day games in the sun- with no shade- ugh! I'm not sure what I was thinking to get tickets to the game today anyhow. Seriously, I told my rep that if I ever tried to get tickets to a day game again - to stop me. I'm going to leave it up to B. If he wants to go, then I'll drag my tail to the game and sit at one of the tables in the shade. If he doesn't really want to go though.... you won't hear me complaining. And I would be really surprised if he wants to go. He wasn't feeling well last night at all. I may try to get him into the Dr. tomorrow morning before I leave town.

So, I'm still alive. Still dealing with trying to get this move done and accomplished. Still in limbo waiting for them to move the house. But, I have my trusty laptop and I'm still here. Y'all take care and try to stay cool!

I'm still here....

I'm still here.  I don't know if I'll be ready to move or not.  I'm moving along and if all I had to do was get the stuff packed to move- I'd be feeling pretty darn good.  And I may make it with a good part of the remodel job.  But I'm not going to get it done in time.  I'm feeling very overwhelmed today.  It's like a never-ending path.  I pick up the truck in a week.  We still haven't gotten out to the shed to throw out some of the junk out there.  And it's not so much that it's "junk" but it has to be packed up and put in the truck in a week.  For every one thing I accomplish- I find 3 more that need done.  I should have planned this for one more week back.  That way the boys would have been out of school for more than a few days before this all happened.

I did get a ton of stuff done yesterday.  Unfortunately, most of it is stuff that I can't see.  I got all the utility companies notified to get every thing here turned off.  I also got ahold of everyone down at the new place and set up installations.  Well, those that I was supposed to get ahold of.  Our biggest hold up right now is waiting on the check from crappy insurance company for the roof that we have been waiting on since march.  I'm a thinking that 3 months with a tarp on my roof is about 2 1/2 months too long.  So, on my list of things to do today is a phone call to the company to find out where the devil the check is so that my guys can get on the roof before it's too late.  I'd hate to have to pay them to travel the 180 miles to the new place to do it or have to find another company.  It's rediculous!

Vix came over last night and we got the sliding doors installed between the 2 rooms.  I think they call them bi-fold doors.  They're an off white on one side and a really ugly brown on the other.  So, more painting.  One of my friends went with me yesterday and we went to pick up some paint.  B's part of the  room is white right now.  He's got his navy blue yankees bedsheets and stuff.  Little Man wanted his side in a really dark color and I had to draw the line at that.  As in NO.  We finally compromised on a lighter blue/gray for the walls and I'm letting him do his built in shelves and ceiling fan blades in the darker color.  It will look pretty cool when it's finally done.  If I ever get it done.  And that's where the problem lies.  I don't know tohat I'm ever going to get it done.  I mean, I'm sure I can- but it seems like an overwhelming task right now.

Well, off to the races!  The company should be open soon to find out where my check is for the roof.  I still need to call the propane company to get that delivery set up for the new property.  And I need to get the new door trimmed out.  And yes, I will go in and get pictures of it at the stage it's at now.  And my car is getting dropped off at one of the cousin's houses to get the valve cover gaskets on it changed since they're leaking.  I was lucky enough to get  one of the boys to take care of it before I move next week.  Take care and have a good day!

Another Day in the trenches

Little Man decided that he didn't feel like going to school today so he got sent home for the day.  How did he do this you ask?  He had a day of ISS scheduled (in school suspension) for using a bad word in chemistry.  When they called him out of class to send him down to ISS, he tried to talk his really cool principal (RCP) out of sending him.  When Mr. RCP failed to oblige, he went to ISS where it took him less than 5 minutes to get 3 infractions and kicked out.  Mr. RCP called me to let me know what had happened and to ask me to come pick my little monster up.  I should have been mad.  I should have been more than mad.  But all I could think about was....  free slave labor.  And he was so good about helping out today.  He went to the car wash and cleaned my car out.  Went to the grocery to pick up the things I still needed for the shower.  Went and picked up the prizes for the games.  Then he came home where he measured, cut, and hammered to my little hearts content - helping me out.  Because of his help, when Vix came out today, we were able to completely finish the one opening and get it trimmed out.  And he did it all without a murmur of a whine, groan, or complaint.  And he even took the garbage out without being asked.  So, I'm not mad.  I'm not even upset.  Because of his help today, I was able to get the games printed out for the shower.  I got my big present wrapped, I got all the shower stuff organized, I was able to get the living room and kitchen cleaned while he did other things.  And he agreed to clean his room so his aunt Tia and her hubby could stay here Saturday night.  And if he gets that all done- then all I have to do for that tomorrow is strip his bed and put fresh sheets on it.

I feel much better about my to-do list at this point.  I got a whole lot accomplished today.  I haven't been down to check on the aunt and uncle down the street in over a week so I'm going to go do that tonight after I finish making dinner.  Then  -- home to paint!  But that's not too big a deal.  I should be able to get all of what we accomplished today done in an hour.

I'm most upset about all the work I have to do in Ice Cube's room.  That room was originally Hurricane's.  He is on our "rotten kid" list right now.  Until Ice Cube started pulling down all the posters that were on the wall- I didn't know about all the holes that sir Hurricane had put in his walls.  I will be in there for a week with the dry wall mud.  He cut holes in his walls with his sword.  He shot at his walls with his pellet gun.  And we found holes from being punched.  I. AM. NOT. HAPPY.  Apparently, every time he'd put a new hole in the wall - he'd cover it up with a sports poster.  When he moved out and Ice Cube moved into that room, he left the posters up.  So no one knew about the holes until this week.  Have I mentioned that I am peeved?  The holes and issues we just found, will probably create another 3-4 days work for me.  But, I'm in a decent mood about it all now.  The boys are out of school on Monday and they've said that they'll help me do some more.

2 more weeks of school.  3 more weeks till we move.  The count down is on.

Continued....

So, we found out yesterday that our movers that we had paid a $3000 deposit to move the house had disappeared.  Their phones are all turned off.  Vix went by the address on the contact yesterday and the house was empty.  One of the neighbors was nice enough to come out and offer Vix some information.  Apparently, sir mover is in jail.  Yes, just my luck.  He's in jail.  DUI.  Great.  That's all I needed.  So, the chances of us getting our deposit back from this guy in time to move the house is none.  His hearing date isn't even until after he was supposed to do the job.  So, I have been on the phone trying to find estimates to get the job done in the same time frame and for a price we can afford.  Some of them want the whole house empty.  Some of them will move the place with the beds and stuff in it.  I'm looking for one of those.

I've been back in the kids rooms today working on a wiring issue and getting things ready.  I'd like to have that archway totally done and cleaned up by tomorrow afternoon.  That might be a far reaching dream but that's what I'm hoping for.  I got the wood of the archway up today with B's help.  I need to go down there with some big staples and tack the wiring up so I can cover it.  I'm basically dry walling over the top of it.  I really will try to remember to take my camera down there tonight.  I hate to take pictures the way it looks now because it looks so bad.  *giggle*.

I decided that rather than beating myself up I was going to take one thing at a time.  Right now, I have to get through the baby shower this weekend.  I think I'm pretty set on that with the exception of printing out the games.  Vix and I went shopping this past weekend.  We got red and blue big plates, I got a table center piece and and banner.  We got clear cake plates, cups, and forks.  I got a big blue piggy bank.  I got a red table cloth and napkins (they were out of blue) and balloons.  We got mini egg rolls, little sandwiches, a couple of different dips, the makings of queso, different chips, and stuff for me to make my hot wings.  Plus the cake.  I think we've got more than enough.  I still have to go pick up a big balloon that says "it's a boy" or something like that and I need gifts for the games.  And I have to survive the shower.  Then I can worry about getting the remodel done.  And if it gets to the last week and I'm not done with it - then tough.  Cause at that time I will have to finish the packing.  Right?  Right.

Well, back to the grind.  I have dinner baking in the oven and have time to clean up the mess I made today before it's done.

Have a great night!

updates from the land of chaos

Well, the insurance company totaled out Little Man's car.  This is in and of itself- garbage.  The car needs a front fender, bumper, and one other part that goes around the headlights but it's totally fixable.  They still haven't made a decision as to whether or not they're going to take responsibility for all of this or not.  Since the lady lied about it to her insurance company- that's just made it way more complicated than it should have been.
My mom does NOT have her cancer back - Thank God.  She has had artery problems for years.  She had to have the arteries replaced from her stomach into both legs in the past.  Apparently, she has some artery blockage in her neck.  There are also signs of leakage.  She has to go in for more testing next Tuesday.  If the arteries are blocked by X% then she will have to go to Indianapolis to have surgery.  I guess small town Indiana where she lives doesn't have the technology to take care of the possible problems.  I believe she said the problems are in the carotid artery.  On top of all this, she caught some creeping crud that's going around there and she sounds HORRIBLE.  There are times that I hate living 1000 miles away from my mom and this is definitely one of them.  I haven't felt this miserable about being this far away from mom since my dad was sick and then passed.  I almost moved back north at that point but as mom pointed out- my health doesn't care for cold white stuff falling from the sky.
Add to my stress level, one 16 year old with an attitude bigger than the state of Texas, beating my body up with activity that I shouldn't be doing and I suppose it's natural that my blood pressure was much higher than normal at my Dr's appointment yesterday?  Not that it was "high" per se - just higher than mine has ever been.

My great thanks to everyone who wished the boys well.  You are all right and I am so thankful that they were ok.  It ALMOST makes the mouth on LM not so bad....almost.  Thanks too for letting me vent.  I think I'm a bit overwhelmed right now with everything going on.  I'm going to relax on Friday.  Take B to work with me and actually ENJOY the fair for a bit afterwards.  I haven't gotten a chance to even walk the midway yet.  I haven't seen any of the fair at all.  So, I'll have PICTURES!  I've asked all the boys about going to the fair.  LM is too busy being rude and getting into trouble in school so he may not get to go this year.  Hurricane and Ice Cube have yet to answer me.  And there's only 1 week left.  This may not be a good photo opportunity for this year.
Thanks again all!
