I would love some help please folks. My son asked me for a recipe box for Christmas. Now, I've already added his favorite recipes that I make. What I am looking for is anything that is cheap and easy. Ruth has not had a lot of cooking experience. I went with pretty basic stuff. If anyone has anything - a kid favorite, something cheap and easy, a favorite cookie recipe that y'all would like to share, something that your grandma always made that you wouldn't mind sharing- please feel free to pass it on over.
One of his favorites that I put in the box is a chili recipe I picked up someplace in one of the states I lived in.
2 cans of kidney beans, 2 cans of pork and beans, 1 can of tomato soup, chili seasoning pkg, 1# hamburger, onion.
Fry your hamburger and onion together; drain. Dump all the cans in with the hamburg and onion. Use a little water to get the good juicy stuff out of the cans plus if you don't this stuff is wicked thick. Add the seasoning pkg (I use mild because of previous headaches with ulcers but you can go as hot as your taste buds desire). Simmer it all together and enjoy. The boys like for me to make a pkg of hot dogs on chili nights but they're teenaged boys so take that into account.
I am still dealing with the stalking issues. Mostly from a teenaged 17 year old boy. All attitude and no brains like most of them. He's stalking me from his school's computers. His mommy likes to play stalker too. She was actually nervy enough to list herself as one of my followers and then sit there and try to lie that she didn't know that I had a blog. Long on lies and short on brains is this woman. A good blogging friend of mine sent me this:
With regard to the e-mails and harrassing comments, I'm happy to give you my attorney's number. There is a cyber-bullying law that IS in effect. The fines and penalties are VERY stiff.
Email me if you neeed help, or feel free to re-post so whom ever it is is aware that you have solid legal ground to stand on.
(Nobody messes with my friends.)
Since this friend of mine and I live in the same state - I could easily take her up on this offer. All actions, libelous comments, trips to my blog, emails sent and received, trips from school computers, lying mom listing herself as one of my followers, its all documented evidence. Easily printed out (and already done). IP addresses showing on the stat counter along with the operating system used, times visited from work and school computers, days logged in and all those other cool details have been printed out also. I could also send all this over to the step-mom and dad who are already going to court on all this. Since the IP address used in all communications has been logged and printed out, this would really show these folks as the liars they have proven to be in court. Now, I originally didn't choose to be part of this crazy. I was showing support for a fellow blogger and the issues and harassment that she was dealing with. My crime was *gasp* - posting a comment on her blog. Child alienation is something that so many of us deal with along with the pain that is caused to our kids from these immature and selfish children in an adult body. Whether that alienation come from the other parents selfish need to try and use the children as possessions and pull the kids away from their other parent. Or if that alienation comes from the new step-parent being so selfish as to want mom or dad all to themselves and wanting to push the kids away so that they can have their immature need fulfilled. Or we do have those parents out there that are just garbage and so selfish and self-centered that they don't care about the kids that they helped to bring into this world and they make the choice themselves to come and go on whim or to just go and not be there at all. No matter which way your kids have experienced this- its harmful. All 3 ways are caused by so called adults who are so selfish as to ignore the needs of the children involved. In the emails I got from the psycho bio-mom that contacted me, she originally tried to play me and hide her identity. She tried to play the "single mom" card. Well, this is a really huge pet peeve of mine. If you're pushing dad out of the picture and he wants to be in it- you are not a "single" mom. If you get child support - you're not single. Don't try getting pity from the woman who has single handedly raised not only my 5 kids but assorted strays along the way. All without the kids sperm donor taking one day of visitation in over 10 years. All without child support or the kids being recognized by one single action of SD. Not a card or a call. My blog friend who sent me the target gift cards has done more for my kids than SD has in over 10 years. Thank you again my friend! While bombarding me with emails and still believing that I didn't know who she was, she tried to gain my sympathy by telling me how her young child cries for her dad. The same dad that she won't let see the child. The same dad who has pending court action trying to get his child. No sympathy here. When I called her out and let her know that I knew exactly who she was - she sent me email after email telling me that someone "stole" her email account and she didn't know who it was who sent me the previous emails but it wasn't her. Blah, blah, blah. It was during those emails that she tried to tell me that she didn't know who I was or where my blog was. Of course, it sort of proves how big a liar she is that less than 5 minutes after receiving her email, she was on my blog. You remember, the blog that she claims not to know where or what it is? During this time, I am still being harassed by a teenager with poor spelling and grammar who thinks that he knows everything. Yeah, I know - what's new? Typical teen. So, I have been documenting. My printer has gotten a great work out. I might have to sue these idiots for the cost of paper and ink if nothing else. Or take my bloggy friend up on her offer of an attorney. I did block the lying mom from my followers list (but not before making that print out). I will repeat myself here folks. I don't intimidate. I will not change my opinion on those who alienate children from a parent no matter what method used. If you do this - you are childish and selfish and immature and sadly lacking a brain. Is that blunt enough for everyone? Good!
Now, it appears that I will be getting a mini vacation this coming week. God bless my old neighbor who probably gave me the best Christmas present I will get. It may be the only one I get... hmmmm. LOL Just kidding folks. Just kidding. I happen to know that Vix got me something off my "I really want this but its definitely something I can't justify spending money on" list. It is definitely something that I need right now in my current frame of mind. I am really missing some of my old friends. Well, off here now. If we are going to go out of town, I have boys who need to do double time on school work so that we can take the time off. Off to the grind.
(as I was writing this - psycho bio-mom was on my blog checking for new posts - she really is nuts I think....)
